Ongoing Support - Spotify
Hello friends! July (ok call it 2020) has thrown me around like a buoy at sea in a storm. I’m just treading water, it feels like sometimes. How’s it been treating you?
I wanted to come over here and say hi. And let you know if you’re like me and listen to music online sometimes - one way you can support me is throwing a song or 2 of mine on your Spotify playlist. Here’s a link to my Spotify Artist Channel. And from there you can see some tunes. Playing the Spotify algorithm game is a real and necessary thing. If you’re like me you have a mixed relationship with social media. However - it can be used for good and so when you’re online dabbling around and kicking on some tunes to pass the time - please jam to some of my songs! :)
I was re-listening to ‘Follow The Voices’ this month and I’d forgotten how beautiful it sounds. The instrumentation, horns, violins, depth, heights, lead lines…it’s a very lush musical garden that I sure do like spending time in and hope you feel the same way. I’m very proud of that record.
I appreciate your Spotify spins — and while we’re at it let me recommend some artists for you to check out. If you like some of what I do, enjoy:
Gregory Alan Isakov’s entire catalog, ha! he’s a fav and you prolly know this.
Iron & Wine’s album “Beast Epic” and song “Trapeze Swinger”
John Moreland’s album “High On Tulsa Heat”
The City on Film songs “For Holly” and “Lost My Lights”
Owen’s album “I Do Perceive”
Death Cab For Cutie’s album “Transatlanticism”
Phoebe Bridgers’ album “Stranger In The Alps” which I must have listened to at least 1,000 times now and am quite frankly afraid to listen to her new album for fear of having my mind blown. I am sorry, Phoebe, for not getting to Punisher yet. When I have more bandwidth to absorb how brilliant I know it is I will be diving in. Also I had a dream about Phoebe last night, actually. She showed up it was daylight and she had a black camera around her neck taking pictures. Her song Kyoto was playing as the soundtrack to my dream. Her and I were just kinda hanging out like pals do. We went into this music venue where her friends were gonna play some bluegrass. And that was about the dream. Cool!
Thanks, all <3
