It brings a smile to my face seeing familiar musical names who are featured on Unseen. Ben Sollee guest stars on Unseen. I imagine he contributed cello. I opened for him in St. Louis about 20 years ago in Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room. I remember pleasant conversations and a wildly talented young man. (Who was riding a bicycle from show to show?) The record he was promoting has a song on it called “Panning For Gold.” Go find it. It’s galactic. Then also Gregory Alan Isakov’s name showing up in the features and if you’ve been around me long enough in my career I’m sure you’ve heard me mention how our shows and his music have enriched my life. So - he’s on Unseen, too. I’m not sure if my longtime music friend Darren Garvey guests on Unseen but he’s the drummer for Elephant Revival, Bonnie’s band when not doing solo work. Darren and I met around 2006/2007 and I can’t remember which came first - us playing a show in Chicago at Uncommon Ground on Clark or me playing shows w/Cameron McGill, who Darren was drummer for. It’s just an itsy bitsy funny world out there.
Check out the vibes on Bonnie Paine’s title track “Unseen.” I think if you’re walloped by intelligent, intense, thoughtful, and vulnerable folk music - you’re gonna love her live and her Eugene show is not to be missed.

In addition to that show, I’ll also be supporting Bonnie in Seattle at Ballard Homestead on Friday, August 7th.
What a thrill!!
