'May There Be Light' || Final Facebook Show #26

This is it tonight my friends! Last Facebook Livestream for the foreseeable future. The party moves to Patreon starting tomorrow! Here are a few words from a heartfelt place.

Bittersweet! May has been a whopper, we are all going through a very challenging time. I say on these shows (maybe not often enough) that these shows are about as much for me as they are for you. It's been a way to connect to the outside world and create experiences where we can be together. That's always been very important to me.

Being alone isn't necessarily tender and precarious - but arriving at 'lonely' is. Isolation and quarantine is not for the faint of heart, my friends. So as sterile as it is for me to focus on a green dot on my laptop while I squint from the lights and sing out to the hills - I do it because we need things in our lives that stir our souls and remind us of who we are. Music always does that for me.

When I'm belting it out, smiling, reaching for a note or pissed and stick the landing on an F Major chord - I FEEL it. And because I feel it, you can feel it, too.

And here's the thing about feelings...when they are allowed to be expressed -- they give rise to clarity. So it's CLARITY our souls desire. We tune the soul's radio dial looking to land right exactly at that still spot where we get a clear signal. Don't we?? Deep down we want the undiluted truth, we don't want the fuzz and static that exists between the stations.

So thank you. Thank you for tuning into my signal and social experiment of these Facebook Livestream shows. Thank you for having me in your home. Keeping each other company and interacting in the comments and riffing on funny things. Those are the gems! Those are squares of patchwork on a long quilt and what we've done over time has built this beautiful mosaic reminding us with every corner and color that we are stitched together. We are NOT, in fact, so lonely. You did this. We did this. Thank you for that glorious reminder.
